Raegan Rast
Founder & Head of Recruiting - Hunt Seat
I began riding in Kansas when I was eight years old and was a total barn rat. As soon as I learned how to drive I began working for some of the best in the country. I often had young sales horses which was where I identified my passion for business and people. Every year I qualified for the Big Eq finals but every year due to outside circumstances was unable to attend. So this is where I had to get creative.
I heavily pursued riding at a Division I level. While going through the recruiting process, I had to learn how to tell a story, sell my personal brand, and make the coaches realize that by not recruiting me they were going to miss out.
Texas Christian University (TCU) took a chance on me and I did my best to not let them down. I graduated from TCU with a BBA in Marketing (2021) and MS in Business Analytics (2022) as well as Big 12 Rider of the Year, 3x All Big-12 Team, NCEA All-American, and hunt seat captain.
I believe that being a student-athlete and continuing to pursue your passion while receiving an education is one of the greatest opportunities any one could pursue (your parents will thank you too). Not only do you get to be surrounded by girls who share the same passion, but graduating as a student-athlete has the potential to open so many doors - and that's exciting.
Go Frogs!
I currently live and work in Fort Worth, Texas. I love it here and am always exploring what is new in "Cow Town". If you happen to be in the area and want a tour of campus, drop me a line!
My Co-Worker
I do have a big-girl job working for an investment firm but my Aussiedoodle X Bernedoodle, Ozzie, keeps me in line. Someone has to pay for rent.
Weekend Warrior
I don't get to ride as much as I use to but two days out of the week keeps me happy! I rode in Europe for a summer and was later sent this horse as a US investment project.
