AnonymousMy daughter, Cayden Ward, is currently a sophomore in high school. She has been riding since she was 5 and competitively for the past 4 years. Highlights for 2024 include qualifying and attending Junior Hunter Finals and placing 21st in small 3’3”, qualifying and attending Jump Seat Medal Finals at Capital Challenge, qualifying for the Hamel Medal. Goals for 2025 include returning to Junior Hunter Finals (qualified in December), qualifying for the Gladstone Cup, returning to Capital Challenge for Jump Seat Medal Finals (placed 1st in her December show), and work towards Maclay qualification.
We have begun looking at schools, she attended a jump seat clinic with UGA in the spring of 2023, she is attending a clinic with the head coach of Auburn in January 2025, and has been approached by a coach from FSU about applying for/attending her EAP session in 2025. We are getting emails from multiple colleges, she is 15 and still has 2 1/2 years of high school….just looking for the best way to navigate this whole situation if she chooses to ride in college.
