I have been riding for almost nine years and live in Austin Texas. I started competing about 5 years ago but wasn't consistent with it until I bought a horse in 2021 when I started riding more seriously. My horse got hurt for a year and I couldn't lease another horse while he was injured. After he got better we showed consistently at A shows for the next year and a half in the pre-childrens and childrens and qualified for medal-finals this year. He is now hurt again and I am riding a green horse in the hunters and looking to start a lease on a big EQ horse in the next few months. My goals are to compete in the equitation successfully and to most of all ride consistent. I know that this recruiting process is really competitive especially since I haven't been able to show as consistently, but I want to at least give it a shot.
I want to get a better feel of what collegiate riding would be like and be prepared for the process especially since I am getting closer to that time.
